In 2007 we brought a new range of pond and pool safety products to the UK market, installed professionally with full guarantees. The Extra-Safe Net has been developed in Europe in conjunction with one of the world’s leading net and twine producers. Through their participation, we use the latest materials, specially formulated for UV protection and abrasion resistance, providing a product of the highest specifications for this application. The Extra-Safe Net, machine made exclusively for us, 15 meters wide x 70 meters long, ensures that the most complex pool shape can be secured with no weak joins. The 90mm square aperture net (core filled twine of 74 filaments), with a breaking strain of over 320 lbs, provides an extremely stable net with minimal stretch under load and well capable of supporting the weight of adults. In stunning Pool Blue colour, the net blends in with a sparkling pool and compliments the overall effect of the pool when not in use. The Extra-Safe Net is a highly versatile safety cover especially suited for complex pools with stepped levels, waterfalls and Jacuzzi features.

HOW THE EXTRA-SAFE NET WORKS The Extra-Safe Net provides an effective, durable and affordable protection barrier against drowning or brain damage caused by prolonged immersion. The safety net keeps youngsters OFF the pool unlike many other covers, which entices the use of covers as a huge trampoline! The time-proven net system is probably the most widely used safety cover system ever. The principle of the net system, adopted worldwide, is to retain the child at the waters edge, by allowing the arms and legs to go through and not the head or torso. The child is suspended at or near the pool edge above the water. Fixing plates, either surface mounted or countersunk are key-slotted that require both an outward and upward movement to disengage, far too difficult for young children to achieve. The B&T tension tool exerts tension in the Strategic Tension System (STS) significantly greater than that achieved by normal body strength, giving a superior and highly tensioned net when installed and assists in the removal of the net during pool use. The award winning quality braiding ensures this tensioning is maintained due to its limited elongation characteristics. After tensioning the tension tool (top quality Barton Marine fittings) is removed for added safety. Add an Alarm for Extra Safety For busy people and busy pools we recommends a combination Extra-Safe Net and an approved pool alarm. This two tier system provides BOTH a physical barrier (1st tier) and a pool alarm (2nd tier) during play time when replacing of the safety net for short periods is unlikely. This two-tier procedure has been recommended in high-density pool regions, such as the State of California, USA. Leisure

The ever increasing regulatory demands placed on owners and operators with regards to the safety of the users extends to both opening and closing times. An unattended pool is significantly more exposed to potential risks. Leisure centres, hotel swimming pools and ponds, public facilities with water features (park ponds, paddling pools etc.) all require added protection legally or voluntary. Even an empty swimming pool remains a major hazard to workman and toddlers alike. The strong, lightweight Extra-Safe Net is the ideal solution in all situations. Visibility particularly in public accessed facilities is important. Visibility should not only refer to the clarity of the water when in use. Unlike solid covers the Extra-Safe Net allows the pool water and pool bottom to remain visible at all times.
